Top 5 Shows on Netflix, Voot Select, and Apple TV+
1. Rome – Netflix

Roma took Netflix to the big leagues. A streaming site that produced original content, this 2018 film recognized Netflix as a major production house. With three Oscars the following year, including Best Director for Alfonso Cuarón, Roma was robbed of the Best Picture award. Packed with stunning cinematography, this black-and-white film is a heartwarming story about Cleo, a vacationing maid to four children. A story so warm and seemingly influenced by Cuarón’s childhood, Roma will always be one of the best on Netflix.
2. Cherry – Apple TV+

In what may easily be Tom Holland’s most challenging role to date, he plays the titular character whose life on a roller coaster makes the film truly engaging. From dropping out of college to being appointed as an Army medic in Iraq, Cherry embarks on a journey that sees him through the lows and the highs anchored by his one true love. Cherry is directed by the Avengers directorial duo Joe and Anthony Russo.
3. Project Power – Netflix
Project Power was released earlier this year on Netflix. The story follows a soldier and police duo who team up to find the source of a dangerous pill that is capable of giving people temporary superpowers. While it definitely has its ups and downs, the pill in the wrong hands is a serious threat to society and it’s up to the duo to stop it. Project Power stars Jamie Foxx along with Gordon-Levitt in the lead.
4. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil – Voot Selection
A heartwarming love story directed by Karan Johar, although Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is certainly not the director’s best work, it is still a good feature of Karan Johar. The story begins when Ayan (Ranbir Kapoor) meets Alizeh (Anushka Sharma) at a nightclub. Although Ayan is in love with Alizeh, it is not the same the other way around. The duo go through an emotional journey of heartbreak, love, and tragedy as they vow to never leave each other.
5. The Lunchbox – Netflix
Almost every Oscar season, I think of this classic that could have been India’s first Oscar-winning film, but wasn’t even considered the official Indian selection after a stellar run at film festivals. When it premiered at film festivals around the world, nearly every film critic touted this heartwarming tale of Saajan Fernandes (Irrfan Khan) and his budding friendship with Ila (Nimrat Kaur), all thanks to a lunchbox mix-up. as an Oscar award. Favourite. But it’s still streaming on Netflix and it’s one of the most beautiful movies you’ll ever see.
