After four seasons of captivating karate action, cobra kai is scheduled to return with another season on Netflix on Friday, September 9, 2022.
Expanding the film franchise, karate kid, the series managed to gain a significant place, enjoying a good critical and commercial reception since its premiere. The fifth season comes just a few months after the fourth, which premiered in December 2021.

The preview for the upcoming season shows a completely different scenario, where Terry Silver’s (played by Thomas Ian Griffith) revamped Cobra Kai is undergoing many positive changes, and the Miyagi-Do school of Karate seems to be struggling.

The trailer for the show’s fifth season shows the aftermath of the pivotal All Valley Tournament at the end of season four. The previous season ended unexpectedly, as it was all about the unlikely partnership of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka).
The fifth season teaser shows the scattered team and the teachers closing down the institution. Apparently, Johnny Lawrence has taken a different job and now drives Uber. The entire trailer focuses on Silver’s attempts to spread the Kai throughout the valley, something LaRusso believes will significantly expose the boys to a lot of risk.
LaRusso calls in an old rival, Chozen (Yuji Okumoto), to stop this. Chozen will work with LaRusso to take down Silver and restore the valley to his most peaceful state. Hopefully Lawrence will join them at some point in the season. The trailer also shows some bitter and clever exchanges between Danny and Silver. For now, Danny has a long history with Silver and will try to give some things back to her.

“After the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Terry Silver is expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his “No Mercy” style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence leaving the karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he has caused, Daniel LaRusso must call in an old friend for help.”

The prolific martial arts drama will release all episodes on Netflix on Friday, September 9, 2022. Like previous seasons, this one will also consist of 10 episodes.
