Liz Truss has been chosen by Conservative members as the new Conservative Leader and therefore Prime Minister.
And while there are many topics, it’s important that we know what you think, from energy prices and the cost of living to the war in Ukraine, but one topic stands out above all: who exactly do you support? ?
Truss says she is a fan of Norwich City, near her constituency of Norfolk South, and has been spotted on Carrow Road on occasion. She openly admits that her support for the Canary Islands has been going on since she became MP for Norfolk in 2010.
Unsurprisingly, the MP is an England fan and represented the government in the royal box at Wembley for the Women’s Euro 2022 final, watching England beat Germany 2-1.
He grew up in Leeds and clearly knows a bit of Leeds United history too, naming legendary manager Don Revie during a Conservative leadership debate in Yorkshire.
“Since living in Yorkshire, I’ve moved to Norfolk. And I’m afraid to say this at Elland Road, but I’ve become a Norwich City FC fan,” she told the audience. “They are a good family club, what can I say?”
She added, “I want us to channel the spirit of Don Revie, because we need to win.”

So what about Liz Truss’s policy approaches to football? She has also been supportive of the safe position being introduced, tweeting a photo of herself at a Norwich game in 2018, saying: “I support safe position being allowed in the Championship and Premier League. More options and better atmosphere for fans.” . Proud [Norwich City] They’ve led the way on this.”
