PUNE: Deputy Prime Minister Devendra Fadnavis has endorsed the use of technology and minimal human interaction in the operation of the stamp and registration department.
Fadnavis, along with Finance Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil and Higher Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, attended the opening of the department’s new administrative building near City Hall.
Fadnavis said: “The department is directly connected to the residents and receives many visitors every day. The use of technology will help provide better services to citizens and improve the image of the government.”
Vikhe-Patil said: “The revenue department is important for the progress of the state and we are adopting the latest technologies as well as introducing various schemes.”

Noida Woman Dies After Undergoing IVF Treatment At Clinic Run By Fake Doctor
A woman has died in Noida of Uttar Pradesh allegedly due to “gross negligence” while being treated at a hospital in Greater Noida. Police said the doctor running the facility was found to have a fake medical degree and one case had been registered.
