Tiffany Haddish joke about ‘hitting on’ resurfaces amid lawsuit

A clip of Tiffany Haddish joking about “flirting” with a boy has resurfaced as the comedian faces child sexual abuse allegations alongside Aries Spears.

A woman and her younger brother have accused the two comedians of manipulating them as children and forcing them to film sexually explicit sketches in a new lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The lawsuit, filed by the woman and her mother, alleges that Haddish, 42, and Spears, 47, sexually abused a girl and her brother, who were 14 and 7 at the time, in two separate incidents in 2013. and 2014.

The accusations have caused a huge backlash online, with thousands of people commenting on Haddish and Spears’ alleged behavior.

Now a clip of Haddish performing stand-up is going viral, with Twitter users questioning a joke. Night school star made about children.

Joking about taking your son to work on the day, Haddish said: “Flirting with your son when it’s bringing your kids to work. Like, ‘Look at your son! He’s cute! You’re going to be fine when you grow up, kid.’ . Do you like adults?'”

The clip is from Haddish’s performance at Def Comedy Jam 25which aired in 2017 and is currently available to watch on Netflix.

Twitter handle @softandtweet shared the clip to the platform on September 3, where it has since registered more than 424,000 visits.

“I noticed that Tiffany Haddish was a bit off a few years ago…” reads the caption accompanying the video.

Another person said in a tweet: “I’m trying to find the humor in sexualizing kids and I just can’t. This hoe is vile.”

news week has contacted representatives for Netflix and Haddish for comment.

For legal reasons, the two plaintiffs in the lawsuit against Haddish and Spears remain anonymous, with the older, now 22, known as Jane Doe, and the younger, now 15, as John Doe.

In the first alleged incident, Jane claims that Haddish and Spears encouraged her to imitate fellatio on camera for a skit in 2013.

In the other incident, it is claimed that John was stripped to his underwear for another skit filmed titled “Through the Eyes of a Pedophile”. This was posted on the fun or die website but later removed.

Haddish’s attorney has denied all charges related to child sexual abuse, calling them “false claims.”

Hollywood entertainment lawyer Andrew Brettler, who also represents Prince Andrew, said in a statement that the mother and daughter who made the allegations will now “face the consequences of taking this frivolous action together.”

“[The] the plaintiff’s mother, […]has been trying to assert these false claims against Ms. Haddish for several years,” Haddish’s attorney said.

“All of the lawyers who initially took up her case, and there were several, eventually dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims had no merit and that Ms Haddish would not be extorted.

“Ms. Morris now has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit. The two of them will face the consequences of taking this frivolous action together,” Brettler said.

The attorney representing Spears said Los Angeles Times: “He will not fall for any blackmail.”

Both Haddish and Spears are charged with gross neglect, sexual assault, sexual harassment and sexual abuse of a minor.
