The incident occurred before Liverpool’s clash with Rangers on October 5 at Anfield Stadium.

As the players lined up for the UEFA Champions League anthem, Thiago noticed that a mascot in front of him seemed to be feeling the effects of the cold weather at Anfield.

The Spanish international then took off his jacket and wrapped the mascot in it. Some fans took to social media to acknowledge the former Bayern Munich midfielder’s disinterest.

Thiago has often been credited with making the Liverpool team work. He suffered a hamstring injury during the opening Premier League match against Fulham and the Reds struggled to produce consistent results in his absence.
