This article discusses the Netflix series The Lørenskog Disappearance, including the premise, cast and crew, release date, trailer, and more.
On September 14, Netflix will distribute worldwide the Norwegian series The Lørenskog Disappearance, created and written by Nikolaj Frobenius and Stephen Uhlander. Here’s everything we know about the six-episode series so far.
The disappearance of Lørenskog premise
From Netflix: “The disappearance of Anne-Elisabeth Hagen in 2018 shocked an entire nation. This fictional series focuses on investigators, journalists and lawyers who, following the kidnapping, are sucked into a vortex of theories, speculation and rumours. As the mystery remains stubbornly unsolved, the characters will discover how far they are willing to go in their quest to find an answer. This series uncovers how susceptible we all are to building our own conclusions in the absence of definitive truth.”
Our take on the premise
It sounds very interesting. Very Northern European, but in the best way possible. It sounds a bit like a Stieg Larsson novel, like The girl with the dragon tattoo, and that’s very attractive to me, especially when I’m looking for new original series. I’m also a big fan of police dramas with a very somber tone, full of twists and turns, and with gray characters instead of the traditional good guys versus bad guys. Also, watching a series or movie in a language other than English is very appealing sometimes as it feels like a breath of fresh air – it keeps you interested as you have to pay close attention to the subtitles and it usually features a very different approach. than what American movies and shows have.
The disappearance of Lørenskog rrental date
The six-episode series premiered in Norway in August 2021, but is now being distributed worldwide. It will be available on Netflix from September 14, 2022.
