Is the capture based on a true story?
The Capture is a fictional series written by Ben Chanan and is based on his own investigation into the subject of deep fakes, surveillance, and government intelligence. Therefore, there are elements of truths within the theme that forms the premise of the show.
He told the BBC in 2019: “Now hardly a week goes by without a new warning about the potential horrors of facial recognition, deepfakes or fake news,” he said. “Maybe soon we will have to find new ways to judge the veracity of video images.” However, the plot and story within the episodes of series one and two are fictional.

What is the second season of The Capture about?
The synopsis of the second season sounds exciting! He says: “The next installment of The Capture will once again question whether we can really believe what we see. Britain is under siege: hacked news sources, manipulated media and interference in politics.
Entrenched in the UK’s own ‘Correction’ unit, DCI Rachel Carey finds herself in the middle of a new conspiracy, with a new target. But how can she solve this case when she can’t even trust her closest colleagues? ?”

Who stars in the second season of The Capture?
As stated, Holliday Grainger is back as DCI Rachel Carey, but fans may be disappointed to hear that series one star Callum Turner hasn’t reprized his role as Shaun.
Speaking to RadioTimes.com, he said: “I think it’s probably a smart move by Ben. [Chanan, the writer]. I always thought Shaun’s story was over, you know?
However, there are a few new faces to watch out for, including: happy valleyit’s charlie murphy, Successionis Rob Yang and The crownis Lia Williams. Not only that, but The Lazarus Project Y i can destroy you actor Paapa Essiedu is taking on a lead role as Isaac Turner MP. Meanwhile, Indira Varma plays Khadija Khan.
What are The Capture Season 2 fans up to?
