the cast for craig gillespie‘s (cruella) the newest film grows as Shailene Woodley (Divergent) has joined dumb money of Black Bear. With principal photography on the production currently underway, the film will be based on The Anti-Social Networka book of Ben Mezrich, which focuses on how internet trolls on Reddit took on one of the biggest hedge funds on Wall Street.
While little information about his role in the film has been revealed, Woodley joins the cast, which includes paul hurtwho recently played The Riddler in matt reeve‘s the batmanY seth rogenwho will also star Steven Spielberg‘s The Fabelmans later this year. Sebastian Stan (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) also stars in the film with pete davidson (The King of Staten Island). With an exciting premise alongside a talented cast of actors, dumb money could be an interesting movie for audiences to look out for in the near future.
cardigan angel Y lauren schuker-blum write the screenplay for the film and serve as executive producers, with Aaron Ryder of Ryder Picture Company producing in conjunction with Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman. Michael Heimler, John Friedbergand Mezrich are also joining the project as executive producers, with andrew swett, johnny holland, Tyler Y cameron winklevossY Kevin Ulrich. In addition to directing the project, Gillespie will also serve as producer for dumb money.
Woodley is widely recognized for her roles in films such as the Divergent series and The fault in our stars. She initially joined him to star The incredible Spider-Man 2 as Mary Jane Watson before her scenes were eventually cut from the film. Along with the eventual release of dumb moneyWoodley is also set to co-star with ben mendelson in Misanthropean upcoming thriller from the director Damian Szifron.
