Saints correspondent Aileen Hnatiuk ended the NFL season in viral fashion.
As New Orleans ended its 2022 campaign with a 10-7 loss to the Panthers in Week 18, Hnatiuk, who serves as a sports reporter for BRProud, said goodbye Tuesday and posted a photo of herself in front of the team facility. On twitter.
“That’s a #Saints wrap,” Hnatiuk wrote alongside the photo, which showed her in a purple sweater.
The internet took quick notice after Hnatiuk posted the photo, with the photo in question garnering 6.5 million views and 40,000 likes as of Thursday. In fact, some fans expressed their willingness to jump on the Saints bandwagon because of the East Carolina University alumnus.
“The Saints have always been my second favorite team,” one fan wrote on Twitter, while another responded: “I suddenly became a Saints fan.”
With the comments pouring in, Hnatiuk took to Twitter later in the day Tuesday and posted: “You’re all wild lmao.”
Hnatiuk continued to tease his new fans the next day, joking about the outfit that wowed Twitter.
“I didn’t think you’d like my new Zara turtleneck so much,” she wrote in an Instagram Story on Wednesday.
The daughter of professional golfer Glen Hnatiuk, Hntaiuk is also an athlete and played for the ECU women’s volleyball team. Upon graduation in 2018, Hnatiuk joined NBC29 WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she worked as a sports reporter.
