Sofia is conflicted about what to do next. Do you have the baby and balance the job of her dreams? Will she give the baby up for adoption? Does she plan to abort her? All this floats in her mind and she tries to keep her composure at work. However, when she hears another woman talk about how difficult it is to work and be a single mother, she has a nervous breakdown and Beatriz witnesses it. Sofia tells her about her circumstance and Beatriz swears to be there for her.

Throughout the movie, their relationship feels a bit strange. There is too much tension between them for it to be more than a platonic relationship. Perhaps this is how Beatriz wanted to attract her to her fashion world. She just didn’t feel right considering where the story is going. Beatriz then suggests that she adopt Sofia’s baby for her.

However, things are not that simple. No one can know that she is pregnant, especially her boyfriend. It is also illegal for someone to give the baby to another person without registering it in the system. So Beatriz suggests that Sofía live with her until the baby is born and in exchange for her, she will give her economic stability and have her as a partner in the company.

It sounds like smooth sailing, but Sofia’s hormones take over. She is trapped in the house and discovers that Beatriz is watching her. Small situations turn into bigger problems and the two have a power struggle before the baby is born. Beatriz loses control over Sofia and in the end she loses herself.

What starts out as a classy and sexy drama ultimately turns into a Stockholm Syndrome nightmare. Beatriz is too controlling and wants everything to go well in her life, so she even controlled Sofia’s pregnancy. Once Sofía discovers some alarming things about Beatriz while she is home alone, she begins to distance herself from the boss she thought she knew.

The third act has everything come true and we get to see a little more of what Beatriz is capable of. The power shifts and we see two very different women figure out how they are going to move on after this pregnancy. Once trust is broken, Sofía and Beatriz begin to spiral. Their dynamic was interesting to watch and that ending is very surprising. People want something so badly that they will do anything to get it, which is the downfall of almost everyone because not everything can work out.
