Top 10 Week of August 29: ‘Me Time’ is the most viewed title this week; ‘Echoes’ series remains at #1
This week, viewers reconnected with Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg on Me Time. The comedy ranked first on the English-language movie chart and the most-watched title this week with 56.56 million hours watched. Summer of Love may be coming to an end, but love is still in the air as Love in the Villa debuted with 41.22 million hours viewed. Starring Kat Graham and Tom Hopper, the film was in the Top 10 in 88 countries. Secrets come to light in I Came By, starring Hugh Bonneville. The dark thriller had 30.79 million hours viewed and appeared in the Top 10 in 89 countries. Fans flocked to returning favorites including That’s Amor (17.42 million hours viewed), Look Both Ways (11.78 million hours viewed), Day Shift (9.45 million hours viewed), The Next 365 Days (9.07 million hours viewed), Purple Hearts (7.52 million hours viewed). M hours viewed) and The Gray Man (6.26 million hours viewed).
After nine weeks, the Korean drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo continued to attract fans. The series ranked first on the list of non-English language television shows with 48.82 million hours watched. Other series that returned to the list included Mexican drama High Heat with 44.05 million hours viewed, K-drama Alchemy of Souls with 27.2 million hours viewed, German thriller Kleo with 12.76 million hours viewed and the Turkish drama Another Self with 8.4 million hours viewed. Polish drama Family Secrets (10.25 million hours watched), South African drama Ludik (9.86 million hours watched) and Belgian drama Under Fire (8.62 million hours watched) made the list.
Twists and turns unfold in Echoes. The series topped the English TV chart with 36.58 million hours watched. Things are not what they seem in the new cult thriller Devil in Ohio. Inspired by real life events, the limited series starring Emily Deschanel had 35.37 million hours viewed and was in the Top 10 in 52 countries. The dream lives on as The Sandman garnered 33.32 million hours viewed. The legal romantic comedy partners track had 31.14 million hours viewed. After fifteen weeks, Stranger Things 4 remained on the list with an additional 20.28 million hours viewed. Season 3 of the I Am A Killer docuseries debuted on the list with 17.92 million hours viewed. Manifest seasons 1 and 3 had 16.41 million hours watched and 11.93 million hours watched, respectively. Never Have I Ever Season 3 had 14.82 million hours watched. And the drama continued to bring viewers to the beach as Selling the OC had 13.67 million hours viewed.
In the list of non-English films, the Danish thriller Loving Adults (29.94 million hours watched) topped the list for the second week in a row. New entrants to the list included Spanish thriller Under Her Control with 15.7 million hours viewed, Brazilian comedy Fenced In with 9.41 million hours viewed, and French drama School Life with 3.42 million hours viewed. Korean action adventure Seoul Vibe kept viewers entertained and had 8.67 million hours viewed, Spanish documentary The Figo Affair: The Transfer that Changed Football had 3.7 million hours viewed, Norwegian teen drama Royalteen had 3 .04 million hours viewed and closed the list with the Italian comedy. Beware, we are crazy with 2.58 million hours viewed.
