Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), in partnership with the Department of Tourism CALABARZON (DOT Calabarzon) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 4-A (DILG IV-A), joins the celebration of National Tourism Month this September 2022 through the “Biyaheng South” experiential tour.

The group began the tour by visiting MPT South’s sustainable headquarters, the MPT South HUB, a 4-story LEED Gold certified building located in Imus, Cavite. They got a glimpse of its innovation and green technology: solar panel field, the building’s biophilic design, a dedicated electric vehicle (EV) charging station, and its highly advanced traffic control room.
Taking travel to the next level, the Ka-Biyaheros team boarded GAC Motor Philippines’ world-class luxury vehicles, ranging from SUVs to pickup trucks. He drove through CALAX’s operating segments heading for the Biyaheng South itinerary in Cavite and Batangas.




Cavite is home to not only historical sites, but also art galleries, museums, and even zoos. Biyaheng South took the team on a cultural trip and visited a secret garden, the Mountain Range-inspired “Living Museum” in Silang, Cavite, called Shambala Silang. The charming location allowed the Ka-Biyaheros to experience nature, local art, and authentic Filipino cuisine together. The team also investigated the main attractions of Yoki’s Farm in Méndez, Cavite, a ten-hectare farm, a zoo and a museum in one, where they had the opportunity to become young again by interacting closely with a variety of species from farm to exotic animals.




After exploring various art galleries and museums, Biyaheng South takes the trip to its “exciting part”. Less than two hours’ drive from Cavite, the Ka-Biyaheros squad headed to Calatagan, Batangas, famous for its picturesque seaside resorts and idyllic beaches. The squadron witnessed the beautiful golden sunset, overlooking the sea at the Cabo Santiago Lighthouse, which sits high on a cliff on the Calatagan coast and is one of the oldest lighthouses in the country that is still standing. working.
