The Ministry of Communication and Information pursues the development of eastern Indonesia, in accordance with the instructions of President Joko Widodo, by encouraging micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to adopt digital technology.
“With a higher level of digital technology application, the competitiveness of MSMEs will also be higher,” said the ministry’s director of digital economy, I Nyoman Adhiarna, during an event on digitizing MSMEs to increase access to marketing, in Ternate, North Maluku. according to an official statement received on Saturday.
At the event, several experts spoke about the use of digital applications. Adhiarna said that the participants were very excited about adopting new technologies.
He further said that he believes that if MSMEs from all regions show the same degree of enthusiasm as Ternate, they will grow faster and develop beyond government estimates.
“Of course, this is a (motivation) for the Digital Economy Directorate to make better and more appropriate programs to help MSMEs,” he added.
One of the experts who participated in the event was Qasir’s director of operations, Hadwin Rarumangkay. Qasir, as an accounting and cash register application for MSMEs, was deliberately designed to be user-friendly, easy to learn and use, and made available at very affordable prices for MSMEs (only Rp1 thousand per day), said Rarumangkay.0 said. 0psaid.0p

During the event, Sara San Siska Manurung from BRI Insurance’s digital business division also provided information on a cheap special insurance product for MSMEs with a premium of only Rp40 thousand (around US$2) per year.
Meanwhile, the head of the corporate social responsibility project management unit of the National Zakat Agency (Baznas), Febrizal Efendi, and several leaders from Ternate City Baznas, who were also present at the event, raised the issue of assistance capital for MSMEs.
