The luckiest girl in the world might not be lucky at all! This is what the theme of the next Netflix movie looks like, luckiest girl alive, the trailer for which was released on Tuesday. The film is based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Jessica Knoll.
The mystery thriller stars Mila Kunis as Ani FaNelli, a girl who seems to have everything one could want in life, until the dark secrets of her past come back to haunt her. Read on to know more about the movie and watch the trailer.

The trailer features Kunis as Ani FaNelli, a New Yorker who seems to have all the finer things in life. She has had a successful career and has a wealthy and handsome fiancé, with whom she plans to have a “lavish but tasteful” wedding.
Ani, however, is not perfect as she hates one thing…babies! Everything seemed to be going well until a director approached her to participate in a documentary about an incident at Brentley School that changed her life.
The secrets of her past are unraveled as Ani says, “I don’t know what I am and what part I made up. Sometimes I feel like a wind-up doll. Turn my key and I’ll tell you exactly what you want to hear.

The film is based on a best-selling novel
luckiest girl alive It is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Jessica Knoll, who has also written the screenplay for the film. The project was announced in February 2021, with filming taking place in Toronto and New York City between June and September 2021.
The official synopsis for the film reads:Based on the best-selling novel, Ani FaNelli (Mila Kunis), a sharp-tongued New Yorker seems to have it all: a coveted position in a glossy magazine, an incredible wardrobe, and a dreamy Nantucket wedding on the horizon.
“But when the director of a police documentary invites her to tell her side of the shocking incident that took place as a teenager at the prestigious Brentley School, Ani is forced to confront a dark truth that threatens to unravel her meticulously engineered life. ”, says the synopsis later.

Speaking about how Kunis fit the role so well, writer Knoll said: “I never would have thought of her on my own, but seeing her on set and seeing her perform some of these more controversial lines, [I realized] how easily it could have gotten sidetracked had we had someone else in that role. I don’t think anyone but Mila could have done it.”
In addition to Kunis, the film will star Chiara Aurelia as young Ani. Other cast members include Connie Britton, Jennifer Beals, Scoot McNairy, Thomas Barbusca, Justine Lupe, Dalmar Abuzeid, Alex Barone, and Carson MacCormac.
