The undefeated Mukwonago is the top-ranked team in Wisconsin, but Kettle Moraine is also considered one of the top 10 teams in the state by many sources.
Kettle Moraine is currently second in the Classic Eight standings, but a win over Mukwonago this week would see the Lasers tied as the district’s top seed with one game left in the season.

Mukwonago (7-0, 6-0) started the season strong and has managed to remain undefeated to this point, but the Indians are coming off a couple of very close decisions that almost have them sitting at 5-2 this week.
They snuck by Arrowhead with a 31-30 victory in Week 6, stopping a two-point conversion with 14 seconds left on the clock to remain undefeated, then needed a 3-yard touchdown run from senior Wynn Stang with 26.3 seconds remaining and securing an extra point from junior Ryan McCormack to beat Oconomowoc 28-25 last week.
The Indians aren’t exactly limping into this game, but they haven’t looked as strong as they did at the start of the season.
Kettle Moraine (5-2, 4-1), on the other hand, looks like she’s making leaps and bounds going into this matchup with Mukwonago. The Lasers lost two of their first three games, but since their Week 3 loss to Arrowhead, they have outscored their last four opponents 158-10 and come into this matchup with consecutive shutouts.
Despite their two losses, the Lasers currently sit second in the Classic Eight standings, and a win this week would leave them tied with Mukwonago for first place with one regular-season game remaining on the schedule.
This game features two of Wisconsin’s top teams going head-to-head for first place in their district and a lead heading into the postseason. You won’t want to miss it.
