the new indian movie Jogui it is now preparing to be released by Netflix on September 16. Shot in New Delhi, in Hindi, it’s another entry in the fast-growing list of Indian movies on Netflix. At the beginning of this year, RRR was hugely popular on the platform, gaining a lot of traction even outside of the country, and more recently, delhi crime Season 2 began streaming on the platform. let’s see if Jogui they can replicate your success, at least to some extent.
netflix movie Jogui premise
From Netflix: “Amid the tension in 1980s India, three friends from different faiths come together in a noble but dangerous effort to save hundreds in their city.”
Our take on the premise
It’s definitely not Netflix’s most detailed premise, but it shows promise. On the one hand, it will be interesting to see how the Indians frame the conflict between the different religions that live within their borders and how they believe they can put aside their differences and work together for a common cause. On the other hand, it looks like it’s going to be another feel-good movie with no real interests, so I really hope they dig a little deeper and explore some of the layers behind the conflict.
