HFC win 2-0 at intermission after a closely contested first half. Both teams were trying to get back on their feet when the game got off to a cautious start, opting to go for the long ball rather than pass it. BFC had a few chances to score the first goal of the game, but came up empty. HFC’s Bartholomew Ogbeche scored the first goal of the game after a well-placed free kick. Sandesh Jhingan’s deflection of Bartholomew Ogbeche’s shot into the net gave HFC a two-goal lead with just over a minute of extra time to go in the first half.

On the edge of halftime, BFC received a free kick but couldn’t capitalize on it. Despite being two goals behind, BFC had most of the ball in the first half.
