Here’s a look at the Shreveport and Bossier City area game results for the second week of football.
45th Avenue, Red River 0: Ashton Martin was involved in four touchdowns for the Panthers (2-0) against Red River (0-2). Martin threw touchdowns to Trenton Lape, Tay Calhoun and Jaylon White.
Haughton 44, La Grange 14: Colin Raines threw two touchdowns and rushed one for the Bucs (2-0) against LaGrange (0-2). Tyler Rhodes rushed for two touchdowns, while Jamarion Montgomery and Jalen Lewis had TD receptions.
Texas High 46, Benton 35: Jeff King passed for two touchdowns and ran for one for Benton (1-1) against Texas High (2-1). Gray Walters also threw for a touchdown with Greg Manning, Andy Lim, Pearce Russell and Landon Duggan all scoring TDs for the Tigers.
Ruston 28, Jesuit 23: Ruston (1-1) held off the Jesuit Blue Jays (1-1) comeback. Dyson Fields rushed 33 times for 144 yards and a touchdown for the Bearcats, while Jaden Osborne and Jadon Mayfield added rushing touchdowns.
Northwood 35, Wossman 0: The Falcons (1-1) got two touchdowns from Quintavion White and singles from Mason Welch, Fabian Sanders and Mar’Javious Moss.
Many 50, DeRidder 7: The Tigers (2-0) got three touchdowns from Jeremiah James and two from Tackett Curtis in the win.
North Caddo 40, North Webster 18: Omarion Miller had more than 200 receiving yards and added a 65-yard TD rush and a 54-yard TD reception for the Titans (2-0).
Union Parish 26, Airline 22: LSU commitment Tre Holly scored one of his four touchdowns for Union Parish (2-0) in the second half of the fourth quarter to push the Farmers over Airline (0-2) on the road. Tre Jackson had two touchdowns for the Vikings.
Homer 33, Minden 26: Elyjay Curry rushed for 198 yards on 17 carries and had four touchdowns for the Pelicans (1-1). Daylen Robinson had two touchdowns and had 143 yards on 23 carries for the Crimson Tide (0-2), while Brian Swann and Jakobe Jackson each scored a touchdown for Minden.
Glenbrook 42, Bossier 14: Ty Feaster threw three touchdown passes and Cason Clemons caught two for Glenbrook (2-0). Mateo Gerrero and Caleb Jones scored for the Bearkats (0-2).
Lakeside 46, Ringgold 12: Rodney Smith and James Maxie scored two touchdowns for the Warriors (1-1). Tydavion Moore had a rushing TD and Jordyn Wilson had a TD pass from Antravian Kinsey to Ringgold (0-2).
Lakeview 33, Montgomery 6: Dillon Pikes scored on offense and defense for the Gators (1-1). Kaleb Collins, CJ Jones and Lamarrion Rushing also scored.
Rosepine 27, South Beauregard 0: Jake Smith threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Isaiah Stinson for Rosepine (2-0).
Vidalia 30, Cedar Creek 29: Cedar Creek’s (0-2) Lane Thomas’ four touchdowns weren’t enough as the Cougars lost to Vidalia (2-0).
West of Ouachita 28, Jonesboro-Hodge 6: Jonesboro-Hodge (1-1)’s score against West Ouachita (2-0) came on a pass from Symeon Malone to Xavier Atkins.

thursday games
In a battle of the top 10 LSWA football teams, Captain Shreve had 206 rushing yards on 39 carries and three touchdowns from Jayden Edwards as the Class 5A No. 8 Gators outscored Class 2A No. 7 Calvary 27-14 on Thursday at Lee Hedges Stadium.
Despite playing a second straight sloppy game, Shreve (2-0) had field goals covering 49 and 25 yards and touchdown runs covering 2 and 33 yards from Edwards to remain undefeated. Calvary (1-1) got a pair of touchdown passes from Bryce Carpenter, who hit Chris Jackson for a 40-yard touchdown, and Aubrey Hermes for a 38-yard touchdown.
Hermes’ scoring with 9:44 remaining allowed the Cavaliers to take a brief 14-13 lead. Shreve responded with a three-play, 67-yard drive to retake the lead.
The Gators had 99 penalty yards, while Calvary had 90.
Southwood 8, Woodlawn 0: Melvin Coleman scored a touchdown and a two-point conversion that allowed the Cowboys (2-0) to remain undefeated with victory over the Knights (0-2). The game moved from Independence Stadium on Friday night to BTW’s Leonard Barnes Stadium on Thursday.
