JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It’s been two weeks into the high school football season and there were some big ones on Friday night, including a pair of Super 10 matchups.
No. 1 Trinity Christian had another great offensive night, pulling away from No. 5 Raines, 41-28.
Second-ranked Bolles rallied from a halftime deficit to edge No. 9 Mandarin, 27-20.
And what if the Beachside freshman show gets its first win with a 17-13 win over Fernandina Beach?
Week 2 meant that another night of firsts was in order. Impact Christian scored the first win in the show’s history with a 38-22 victory over Riverside Christian on Thursday night. The Lions just launched their 11-man football program this season with a veteran coach bobby ramsay at the helm Tocoi Creek, a sophomore, beat Matanzas 47-14, with coach by mike kolakowski Bulls, in his second year, sitting 2-0 for the first time.
For Coach Ribault pinckney ram and Wolfson Durham Pass, Week 2 marked the first wins of his career as a varsity coach. Pinckney led the Trojans to a 19-7 win over Atlantic Coast for his first win as coach under Ribault. Durham guided the Wolfpack to a 28-21 win over Paxon for the first win of his coaching career. Riverside first-year head coach Antwan Nicholas and the Generals are now 2-0 after a 7-6 victory over Parker.

Englewood and Coach Zachary Harrison he beat Menendez 14-7 for his first 2-0 start since the 2015 season.
From an upset perspective, Super 10 No. 10 Columbia fell to 0-2 with a shock 31-27 loss to Class 1A Union County.
Week 3 will feature games over three days, including the Border Classic at Glynn County Stadium with seven games over three days. All seven matchups will air on News4JAX+, with select games televised live on WJXT Channel 4. It also marks the first real week of district clashes.
