Football Manager 2023 will be released on November 8, and this year it will come to PlayStation 5, as well as Apple Arcade for the first time.
On PS5, the game has been designed for the Dualsense controller, while on mobile, the Touch series returns to Apple devices via Apple Arcade after a year of absence.
Additionally, the game will be added to Xbox Game Pass on both PC and console from day one.
Previously, Football Manager was not available on PlayStation because the developer did not receive a development kit. Sports Interactive boss Miles Jacobson had a lot to say about it in 2020, but it looks like that particular situation is now resolved.
The game is not yet coming to PS4, but it will be available on all Xbox consoles.
It means that Football Manager 2023 will be available on PC (Steam, Epic, Microsoft Store), Mac, Xbox consoles, PlayStation 5, mobile devices (iOS and Android) and Nintendo Switch (the touch version of the game).
The game will be sold as a physical copy, but will not include a disc. Instead, it will contain a unique code redeemable through Steam, Epic, or the Microsoft Store.
The lack of disc and laptop, plus Sega’s eco-friendly packaging refinements, makes Football Manager 2023’s overall carbon footprint 47 percent lower than last year’s game.
“FM23 marks another significant step forward for the Football Manager series as we debut on two new platforms. We’ve been asked by fans to produce a PlayStation title for several years, so I’m excited that those players now have the opportunity.” experience the closest thing to being a real football manager,” said Sports Interactive Studio Director Miles Jacobson.
“Our decision not to release a Touch game on iOS or Android in 2021 was a difficult one to make and disappointing to some of our fans. This exciting partnership with Apple Arcade allows us to re-introduce a popular title in a way that makes sense.” for us as a studio and for the FM community in general.
The game is available for pre-purchase from today until launch (on PC and Mac); players who purchase through a Sega-approved digital store will receive a 20 percent discount and early access two weeks prior to release. Single player races started at this time will continue.
This time, the game will include licenses for the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League.
More details about the game’s features will be revealed in October ahead of the November release.
