History:
Netflix is bringing the desi versions of many American shows to India and one such show that has now been released is Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. Starring Neelam Kothari (wife of Sameer Soni), Bhavana Pandey (wife of Chunkey Pandey), Seema Khan (wife of Sohail Khan) and Maheep Kapoor (wife of Sanjay Kapoor), this show is about the rich and famous culture of bollywood The second season shows the lives of these star wives and the problems they face in their daily lives. This time around, some star attractions like Ranveer Singh, Badshah and Arjun Kapoor also play small roles. The icing on the cake is the entrance of Shahrukh Khan’s wife, Gauri Khan,
What is good?
The show is about four-star wives who are dealing with their problems. In the second season, the filmmakers deal with each other’s individual problems and show them in practical ways. Seema Khan’s divorce problem, Maheep Kapoor’s problem with her husband Sanjay Kapoor and Chunkey Pandey getting married again, these aspects touch and make the series interesting.
There are many fans who want to know how these stars and their wives lead their lives with rich backgrounds. That part has been very well showcased by the creators. The best part is that star wives get plastic surgery, flirt with the likes of Ranveer Singh, this season has full masala.
What is bad?
Some of the star wives’ stories seem too staged. Especially the ones about Sanjay Kapoor’s wife. The way she deals with her children and life seems super fake to watch. Also, the way she frequently uses profanity seems completely vulgar.
The show seems to be scripted for the most part and is only for those who like to see how the stars’ wives live their lives. To the common audience, it might sound a bit over the top and fake. In addition, this program has been used to promote the daughters of the stars for its release, which seems obvious.
Technical aspects:
A full dose of glamour, expensive cars, fashion, and tight-knit discussions is also revealed. The production values are top notch and there is no compromise in this regard as the show is mostly set in the beautiful locations of Mumbai. The camera work is top notch and it magnificently showcases the beautiful places of Rajasthan. The drama looks interesting, especially in Neelam’s life where she wants to kiss on screen for the first time.
Verdict:
In general, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives Season 2 depicts the lifestyle of the wives of Bollywood stars in India. Compared to the first, this season is much better and has adequate conflicts, catfights and drama to attract the audience. This show is for those who want to know what goes on door-to-door in these hi-fi lives of star wives. There is glamour, glitz and fantasy. But the show seems a bit scripted. If you agree with this aspect, go ahead and enjoy this show.
