If you are a fan of Rob Zombie, the monsters, and decent with Photoshop or an image editing program, you’ll probably email me. That’s because Collider is teaming up with Universal Home Video for a the monsters themed fan art contest to celebrate the release of Zombie’s the monsters movie on September 27.
If for any reason you are not familiar with the monsters, the characters first appeared on television screens in 1964 and followed the home life of a family of monsters. Although it only lasted two seasons, the series grew in popularity through syndication, leading to several monsters movies and even a sequel series, The Munsters todaywhich aired between 1988 and 1991.
So, you’re probably wondering what kind of art I need to create to win the contest. It can be a drawing of the monsters, the house, or even a character on their own. You can literally send anything you want, as long as it’s a picture or a poster. But I bet the winner of the contest will be the one who comes up with something cool or unexpected that catches our attention.
The next thing you are probably wondering is what can I win?
The grand prize winner will get some the monsters loot included the monsters Collector’s Edition Blu-ray signed by Rob Zombie, vinyl of the movie soundtrack, Lily, Herman and the Count figurines, a t-shirt and a one-of-a-kind mystery item. We’ll also have one final winner, who will receive Rob Zombie’s signed Monster’s Collector’s Blu-ray Edition.
