ECU Athletics and the Pirate Club look forward to welcoming fans to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Saturday, September 3 for the Pirates’ first home football game against NC State at 12 noon (ET). The game is sponsored by ECU Health.

All parking lots will open at 7:00 am on Saturday and the gates to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium will open at 10:00 am, two (2) hours before kickoff. The ECU Athletics Box Office will open at 9:00 am

Carl and Connie Rogers Pirate Club Level with new improvements for fans
If you are a member of the Pirate Club, make sure you go through the Carl and Connie Rogers Pirate Club Level every game. This is a great area for Pirate fans to gather and socialize before entering the game or to discuss the game at halftime. Pirate Club members and their guests will be admitted with at least one Pirate Club membership card.

ECU Pirates’ flagship station, 94.3 The Game, will broadcast live from outside the area from 9-11 am on Saturday and throughout the season. Special guests will make appearances throughout the show each week, including the ECU Director of Athletics. jon gilbert.

The Pirate Walk will begin two hours and 30 minutes before kick-off at the Howard & Lyn Swain Pirate Promenade in front of TowneBank Tower. Saturday’s pirate ride will start at 9:30 am
Fans are encouraged to cheer on the Pirates during the walk.

The ECU Marching Band and members of the Spirit Squad will guide Head Coach Mike Houston and student-athletes up the walkway leading to TowneBank Tower. The group will walk past the historic Scales Field House to the Ward Sports Medicine Building and the team’s locker room.

children’s area
The Kids Zone is back for the 2022 season. The Kids Zone is located on the grassy area just behind Sections 10-11, with Gate 4 being the closest gate.

Description: Featuring interactive games, an inflatable mini-golf course, pop-a-shot and a soccer toss, among other games, the Kids Zone will be open two hours before kick-off. In addition to the games, the area will have a device charging station, a coloring station and a photo zone where young Pirates can try on uniforms and dress as their favorite Pirate. The children’s area will be operational until the end of the third quarter.

The world famous Budweiser Clydesdales
The world famous Budweiser Clydesdales will march around Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Saturday morning starting at 10 am after the Pirate Walk. The Clydesdales will make stops in front of Towne Bank Tower and Smith/Williams Courtyard for photos.

Beer and wine
Beer and wine will continue to be sold at select locations within Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.

Fans will be able to purchase beer and wine at eight separate locations around Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. Each person over the age of 21 will be required to wear a wristband to purchase, possess, or consume alcohol. The wristbands will be delivered with a valid identification to people over 21 years of age at the kiosks inside the enclosure. Individuals consuming alcohol should always be able to present valid photo identification, as stadium staff may request to see identification at locations away from the original point of sale.

Two drinks can be purchased per person per transaction. Sales will begin two hours before kick-off inside Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium and all sales are scheduled to end at the end of the third quarter.

In partnership with Aramark, a variety of domestic, imported and craft beers will be available for purchase. Food stalls within the student section will not sell beer or wine.

Clear Bag Policy
To improve security and expedite fan entry into Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, East Carolina University has implemented security policies for fans bringing bags into the stadium.

Only one clear plastic bag no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches or one gallon resealable clear plastic storage bag per person will be allowed. Fans will also be allowed one small carry-on bag not to exceed 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.

Diaper bags and non-medically necessary items are allowed if accompanied by an infant or small child. Each member of a family, including children, may bring one approved clear bag and one handbag into the stadium.

Fans interested in purchasing an approved clear bag can visit the Dowdy Student Store in the main ECU Student Center, as well as other area retailers.

Shared ride service
East Carolina Athletics has set up a pick up and drop off point for Uber and Lyft on Saturdays.

Before kickoff and during and after the game, rideshare deliveries will continue at 2 p.m.the Street between Elm and Berkeley. Shared and personal vehicles, including golf carts and low-speed vehicles, NO You will be allowed access beyond campus barricades without proper credentials. This policy includes all shared ride services.
