
Here’s this week’s Tremendous 10 poll, highlighting the top 10 performances from the past week. Because there were football games on Friday that were played on Monday, we are including those performances for your consideration. Last week, there were only soccer and volleyball nominees. This week, cross country nominees have been added. The survey will be open until noon on Saturday.
Lake Wales Junior Charlie Mitchell (football) caught three passes for 112 yards and a touchdown and also returned a 100-yard interception for a touchdown in the Highlanders’ 32-8 win over Ridge Community. For the season, he has five catches for 126 yards.
Lakeland sophomore avery-smith (women’s cross country) ran 20.17.70 to win the George Whitmire Invitational by nearly 35 seconds as she led the Dreadnaughts to a runner-up finish.

senior of the lakes region Israel Mirtile (men’s cross country) ran 17:03.70 to win the men’s race at the George Whitmire Invitational. He won the race by about 15 seconds.
McKeel sophomore Mallory Swartz (volleyball) had 24 kills to lead the Wildcats over Lake Gibson and added five kills in the loss to Winter Haven. For the season, she leads McKeel with 51 kills and is tied for second with 29 digs.
lakeland christian senior ash mac (volleyball) finished with nine kills, 13 digs, four aces and two blocking assists in the Vikings’ victory over Foundation. For the season, she leads the Vikings with 35 kills and 17 aces and is second with 62 digs as the LCS is off to a 4-1 start.
Victory Christian sophomore Dublin Fitzgerald (volleyball) had 21 spikes and 27 digs in two games, a loss to Bartow and a win over the All Saints. For the season, she is second in kills with 38.
George Jenkins holly rowe (volleyball) had 13 spikes to lead the Eagles to a 3-1 win over Bartow and followed that up with seven spikes in a 3-0 win over Santa Fe Catholic. He leads the Eagles with 27 tackles.
Victory Christian Quarterback jackson benton (American football) He completed 16 of 25 passes for 294 yards and three touchdowns in the Storm’s win over Christ’s Church. For the season, he has thrown for 400 yards on 29 of 42 passes.
frost proof corridor Donovan Soloman he rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries in the Bulldogs’ 42-20 victory over Hardee. In two games, Soloman has rushed for 393 yards and four touchdowns on 58 carries.
quarterback george jenkins candid burrough (American football) led the Eagles to their second straight victory by completing 9 of 18 passes for 214 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 63 yards to finish with 277 yards of total offense.
