Catamount Athletics nears football season ticket record

Cullowhee, North Carolina – Just days before the highly anticipated 2022 Catamount football season opens, Western Carolina is closing in on a record number of season ticket holders, the department announced today. Catamount Athletics is closing in on the all-time high for season tickets sold in 2018 with a call for a final push to surpass that previous benchmark.

A variety of season ticket packages are available for the fast approaching 2022 season. Adult general admission tickets start at $71, with adult reserved bench/tiered tickets at $126, and endorsed adult season tickets are just $136 each. Special WCU youth and faculty/staff rates are also available. The Family Section is only $201 and includes 2 adult and 2 youth (under 12) season tickets.

WCU’s five-game home schedule includes a non-conference opponent when Presbyterian arrives in Cullowhee for the “White Out Whitmire” home opener on September 17, followed by four exciting Southern Conference games and home promotions . The Catamounts host VMI on Family Weekend and EBCI Day on October 1 and The Citadel for Heroes Day on October 22. Western Carolina’s annual Homecoming game is scheduled for November 5 against Wofford with the regular season finale at home against Chattanooga scheduled for November 19. Football season tickets and game day parking passes can be purchased by visiting or by calling the WCU Athletic Ticket Office at 828-227-2401. Fans can also visit the box office located on the first floor of the Ramsey Center during the week, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Single-game tickets and game-day parking passes for each of WCU’s five home dates are also on sale now through the WCU Athletic Ticket Office and online at . Western Carolina opens the 2022 season this Saturday, September 3 with the first of consecutive road games before opening the home season on Saturday, September 17 against Presbyterian at Cullowhee.
