The fantasy football players who took a chance on Cam Akers aren’t happy.
The Los Angeles Rams running back had three carries for zero yards during Thursday’s 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He was clearly behind Darrell Henderson Jr. (13 carries) in the running back rotation, and even Brandon Powell got a carry for the Rams.
Akers’ lack of production and opportunities generated many reactions:

5 of 32 Cam Akers plays in the first half are not good.
This is not a timeshare, this is a Darrell Henderson acquisition. https://t.co/XeP8ktXiHh
There was always a risk involved in writing Akers. He’s not only splitting time in the backfield with Henderson, but he’s also feature his Achilles tendon before last season and played just one game in the regular season before appearing in four playoff games.
It’s still incredibly early in the season, and Akers thinks he has some sort of role in the Rams’ charged offense.
But it was a troubling role for the fantasy football players in Thursday’s opening game.
