BBC pundit Matt Upson thinks Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks very happy at the moment in Chelsea colours.
Aubameyang, who joined the Blues in the summer from Barcelona, scored last night in Chelsea’s 3-0 win at home to AC Milan in the Champions League group stage.
The 33-year-old striker now has two goals in two games as he begins to find his way on his return to English football.
He scored his first goal for the club at the weekend against Crystal Palace with an instinctive strike on the half-turn. His goal against AC Milan last night also showed true quality. He scored a typical centre-forward goal as he found space in the box to take advantage of a Reece James cross.

Aubameyang looks happy
Upson thinks Chelsea’s new number 9 is enjoying life at Stamford Bridge this season:

“Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wears it all on his face and has a big smile on his face at this club. From what we’ve seen, he looks like a goalscoring threat and that’s what Chelsea needed. Yes, he has a checkered history which leaves a question mark hanging over him, but so far he seems happy playing for this team,” Upson told BBC Radio 5 Live (10:31pm, 5 Oct).
The Blues striker can definitely still up his game to be more involved in building his team’s game, but he is providing them with something that has been missing lately. His ability to be clinical around the box means he could become a great signing.
The former Arsenal man definitely seems to be enjoying his football after an acrimonious exit from the Premier League earlier this year, so it’s great to see him back with a spring in his step.

more goals to come
If Aubameyang keeps getting into the right positions, Chelsea fans should get used to a lot more goals.
He has proven over a long and successful career that he is reliable at putting the ball in the net, so Graham Potter’s team must use him wisely.
The likes of James and Ben Chilwell should look to feed the striker every game around the penalty area.
Aubameyang is definitely the kind of striker who comes to life in the box after lulls, which is what this Blues XI needs to break teams at times.
Described as “talented” by Kalidou Koulibaly, let’s hope that the club finally has a center forward to match his goalscoring ability.
