Arsenal must overcome one of European football’s surprise packages in 2021/22 if they are to achieve two wins from two in Europa League Group A.
Bodo/Glimt arguably caused last season’s shock result when they defeated eventual champions Roma 6-1 at home in the Europa Conference League group stage to hand José Mourinho the heaviest defeat of his managerial career. , and they proved it was no fluke by beating the Italian giants again in the quarter-finals before being eliminated in the second leg.
Only a loss to Dinamo Zagreb denied Bodo/Glimt a Champions League place at the last qualifying hurdle of this season, as the Norwegian champions won the first leg of their playoff.

Arsenal vs. Bodo/Glimt Live Updates, Europa League Highlights
120 minutes from the start: Hello and welcome to The Sporting News’ coverage of a meeting between two teams who are undefeated in the Europa League so far this season.
Both teams share something in common apart from their unbeaten records in the competition, Arsenal won 2-1 in Zurich while Bodo/Glimt beat the same opponents by the same score at home.
Meanwhile, Arsenal saw their home game against PSV postponed, against whom Bodo earned a 1-1 away draw.
Arsenal are heavy favorites to win tonight, but they are wary of Bodo’s reputation after Norwegian side Eliteserien beat eventual champions Roma twice in the Europa Conference League last season, drawing and losing their other matches against the Jose Mourinho’s team.
Can a Gunners side, likely largely second, carry on the confidence that Mikel Arteta’s men showed in their crushing 3-1 win at home to Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday? We’ll know in about two hours…

Why does Bodo/Glimt have a slash in their name?
When the club was originally founded in 1916, it was known as Fotballklubben Glimt, “football club” followed by the Norwegian word for lightning.
It became known that an older club in the Trondelag region of Norway had the same name, so Glimt changed its name to Fotballklubben Bodo/Glimt in 1948.
Is Bodoe/Glimt the only side in football with a forward bar? By the way, that is not the name of their striker.

The two words in the name were originally hyphenated, but that changed during the 1980s to avoid confusion on betting slips and newspaper results pages.
The unusual name regularly attracts intrigue from fans and pundits, although there are other examples of clubs in Northern Europe using slashes in their team names.
