  2. The pandemic taught us all about the importance of childcare and the problems with what many call a broken system. Teachers say they are underpaid, and the business model means facilities struggle to stay open while North Carolina parents struggle to pay for care in the first place,” according to WCNC. The unsung heroes are the workers who take care of their children every day. But, reports WCNC, “many are getting out of business for a variety of reasons, including low pay. There will be a firefighter application check-in at the Charlotte Fire headquarters on September 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Applications for firefighter positions at Charlotte Fire are open September 16-30. “In the event, interested Candidates can visit Charlotte Fire headquarters and speak with firefighters and staff to answer questions about career opportunities. The Charlotte Fire Human Resources team will also have computer stations available to apply for firefighter positions and assist in the process. … Firefighters will be able to answer any questions related to firefighting and the hiring process,” according to the city government. Bank of America now offers first-time homebuyers in a select group of cities, including Charlotte, Zero Down Payment, Zero Closing Cost Mortgages to help increase homeownership among the black and Hispanic communities. … The new mortgages are known as “Affordable Community Loan Solution, “with the goal of helping more people and families get affordable loans,” according to WCNC. A casting company that works with Netflix wants to make your dream come true!The company said it is casting for Netflix’s hit series “The Ultimatum,” about couples who must either commit to marry or separate.
