Hell yea man, I had no idea you did that much detailing. I am seriously considering doing some travel detailing this spring. It's too bad we're in different areas because we could make a killing doing 2-man detailing.

Were all those done with Optimum? And what do you use on tires?

Yeah, we could make some good money. I like doing details when time allows, it's just hard to find time during school :( And now that spring is here it rains every other day. I've got another car lined up that I had planned on doing this weekend, but the lady never called me back.

I am pretty sure they were all Optimum details...that's about all I've got in my stash, haha. On the tires I used Number One Dressing that I get from a store in Homewood. I'm not sure if it's available other places, but I buy it by the 1/2 gallon so if you want some hollar at me. It doesn't seem to last as long on the Toyos though as it did on my Bridgestones, see here (http://bamagz.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48).

You should check out a grout sponge if you use ONR. I loved it.

I do A LOT of detailing/car washing myself. It's definately good money, but I'm about to start my new job and won't hardly have the time to do it like I have been. I'll tell ya, it sucks in the fucking cold though! Water freezing before you can even wipe it off. Hurting hands etc.. I dunno why the hell they call it numb, because all I can ever feel is the pain of the cold.

Hollar at me if you want to tag team some details. I should be in Birmingham this summer (crosses fingers).

Okay...how much to do my Z. I love the car, but hate to detail it. Its better than when I had my F250 Superduty, but still not my favorite thing

How bad is it, on a 1-10 scale, w/ 10 being horrible?

Its not that bad...probably like a 2-3. It needs wax bad...all of the plant pollution eats the wax off the cars.

It really just depends on how bad the car is. It's usually somewhere in the $100 range, mainly because it takes forever. I can spend a whole day working on a car.

I can do just a wash much cheaper and much faster though. Speaking of which, I need to clean my back up because it rained today before I could get my car into the parking deck, dang.

Yep, unless you back out. I don't have anything going on. You just gonna chill while I work on it?

Just wash and polish/seal it?

Westwood has been carrying #1 Dressing, that's where I've always gotten mine. I love that stuff  Is there another one you're talking about, or are you talking about the one in Homewood, close to what used to be Alpine Ice Arena.

I used Optimum Polish and topped it with Meguiar's #21. I'm about to order some Sonus products to try because I've heard they work better on the PC than the Optimum products.

Let me know when you do that...I might have to hire you to do mine if I like what I see:cool:

Aight, I may try and get it ordered this weekend because I've got another guy that wants me to detail his truck.
