I ordered this kit from Zaino in December and haven't had a chance to use it yet.

This terrible weather cycle of clear/rain/cold/clear/rain/etc makes for a lousy time to detail a car. Anyway, while I was driving on the interstate the other day I think something flew up and hit my bumper near the bottom passenger side and caused the paint to chip/peel :( I put some clear coat on there to keep it from spreading as best as I could but I am afraid the front bumper is going to need to be repainted soon.. sigh.

Once I get that taken care of and this weather warms up, I would very much like to set up a detail day somewhere!

Take it to the Goolsby Z Shop :) Jonathon is awesome! I know numerous people can vouch for him and he is excellent at matching paint.

Wonder how much he charges to paint a bumper? I've been considering having him repaint mine. Infiniti "reconditioned" (read: cheap repainted) my front bumper when it came off-lease. Looked great for the first several months... but now it is chipped beyond aaaaaaaall belief.

Or all five of you. haha

I used to know Goolsby indirectly back in the day. I mean waaaaaay back. Like when he was still rockin' his red 1989ish firebird with the checkers on it. LOL He did a lot of work on my friends cars, and we always chat when we see each other, but it's not like we're buddy buddy.

He quoted me $700 to paint my entire truck silver, with a blue pearl once, back in '98. Had I known then, what I know now..... I'd have taken him up on that!!!! lol

He does some outstanding work, that would've been a helluva deal.

Well.. washed, clay bar'd, spray polished, washed, waxed & spray polished the Z today with the Zaino :D I think it made a HUGE difference. The paint feels like wet glass now and there are no swirl marks to be found. I didn't mess with the front bumper obviously (other than washing it) since I am getting it painted next Thursday. Will give her another good wash/wax before Nationals but wanted to go ahead and get the clay bar out of the way. I will try to get some pictures for you guys tomorrow
