is it that professors pile everything up at the end of the semester? I have a test today, a test tomorrow, stuff due for a group meeting Wednesday, a group presentation next Tuesday (before Thanksgiving), presentations due the Monday and Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the Iron Bowl, as well as a paper due that same week  And I have had next to nothing due all semester...

They like to schedule tests right up to Thanksgiving because they know everyone will ditch out a few days early if they don't. Plus it gives them time over the break to grade all the papers/exams/projects. The other train of thought is that they think you will study or be productive over the break so they give you crap due right at the end of break. As a TA I have to deal with both types of teachers and feel like a human scantron the last few weeks of classes.

They are right with respect to people cutting out early before break; however, they are wrong with respect to thinking people will study over break, especially when the Iron Bowl is part of that break :humpsheep:
