I was reading the Wall Street Journal from Wednesday and on the front page of the Personal Finance section they have "Videogaming for dollars? You bet"
Basically, one has to sign up online and deposit money into their account via paypal or credit card etc. Then they scout for other players and present a "Tournament Fee" from $1-$1,000 and the website takes a 7%-12% cut. After the game they must go back to the website and say who won and all that jazz.
Websites include:
www.Worldgaming.com (intro vid is sick)
www.Gamersaloon.com
www.Gspotgaming.com (in August)
It's considered legal because it's a skilled based gambling and not a gamble of chance (like online casinos which are illegal).
Some peckerhead said he's played some 20 games, lost 4, and made $600.
This is where the world starts to go downhill. Just thought yall might get a kick out of this.
