On the way in the morning I was just checking everything after the car is warm and I noticed that the PSI guage was at 120+ and it is normally at 60-65 at idle. What can I check?

When was your last oil change?

Not sure what to check except the level of oil. Maybe there is too much or too little in there.

Is the temp guage going up past the usual point?

Your oil pressure sensor has gone bad if you have plenty of oil .....its a 80 dollar part from nissan takes about 30 min to put on

About 1500 ago. I took it by my girls dads garage and he checked out everything and mentioned that if my cars oil pressure was a constant 120+ it would (not literally) shoot the oil filter right off the car.... :werd:

He said pretty much what Ninja said. So looks like I will be getting a part this weekend to put on the Nissan. :headbang:

Thanks for all the replies!

Frank

Ok, I got my window motor and Oil psi gauge fixed under my 100K warranty from Drivers Way for 50.00 deductible. They were very nice and had me all fixed up in 3 hours. I will be buying my next used vehicle from them.

I have that also, but haven't ever used it. Which one did you go to? Nice to know if I do need work done.

I went to the one in Pelham next to the Mazda dealership.
