Anyone have aftermarket silicone hoses? I won a set at Z Nationals and need to know what kind of locks/clamps to get for them.

Thankfully Z1 is swapping them out for me because they are blue...and we all know that blue/orange do not go together :roflomg: I'm getting black ones and was thinking about orange locks/clamps. The match on the ZeeToyz website looks really close to LS.

Dude I already said don't even think about the ZeeToyz clamps. They are a waste of money, they don't fit right, and the tool to tighten them is a terrible design. You need to pick up some T clamps from a hardware store that you can tighten with a phillips head, or even the ones like stock where you have to use pliers to clamp them. The ZeeToyz clamps are garbage man, if you want I'll bring one to the next meet and show you how badly they don't fit.

Also, pay attention to the shape of your lower radiator hose when you remove it. The new one has to go back in the same way. I put mine in upside down and the belt promptly burned a hole in my hose, making antifreeze go everywhere. If you want help with the install holler at me.

here is the clamps i use
http://www.siliconhoses.com/content.asp?inc=product&catalog=0024&cat=0024

if you dont immediately notice the differences i can point them out. main thing to me is that the thread to tighten is pressed not cut therefore it will not tear a hose.

Cool, how long does it take for them to get here? And how do I know what size my hoses are...all I have is a bag of hoses.

-they are out of UK but have a warehouse in FL, but may need to order your sizes. should not take more than 5-10 business daysif they have to order. z1 should know what size the hoses you have are. or you could measure them since they arent on the car. call and order they may be in stock some of my black couplers had to be ordered. but all the clamps were instock and are in size ranges like 70-80mm or 20-25mm so dont worry about specifics
