Does anybody else feel like this motor is a complete PITA to work on? Maybe it's just because the limited space that the Z32 allows, but I think I'd rather bend over and take one for the team than work on this behemoth. Sorry for the rage, I came from working on Honda motors which is cake compared to the VG. :headbang:

Welcome to the G/Z world, if you like simplicity stick to inline motors but if you like TQ, just learn your way around the Z32. Honestly i wouldn't mind having one just because for the money i spent to make 484rwhp i could have a 600+rwhp Z32 :shame:

Yea, I think my turbos are shot(or at least one of them) as I am not getting any boost. So, I've been pulling hoses off checking for leaks and such(need to invest in a boost leak tester). But, if I end up pulling the motor to replace the turbos, the EGR is going bye bye, and the carbon canisters can kiss it too. :D

Yea, I'm learning. Slowly but surely lol. I like a good challenge that tests my mechanical knowledge. ;) If all else fails, Brad from Z Solutions' shop is right down the road from me!

It is by Japanese decree for anyone that owns or works on a Z32 that you are required to remove parts to remove a part that blocks a part your are trying to get to.

I'm beginning to understand the meaning to this now lol!

Why waste time pulling apart anything until you boost leak test it?:confused::confused:

i kindof doubt both turbos being shot to the point of 0psi...

Well, when I got the car I started checking hose clamps and a majority of them were loose. So, I started taking them off so I could get to my turbo inlet hoses and tighten the clamps there since those are prone to coming loose. That's when I started finding small pcv hoses that had holes in them, so I'm just doing all this in my free time. It's so weird that I am getting 0 psi, because even though a lot of hose clamps were loose and some small holes in the pcv hoses, I don't think it would be enough to lose all boost entirely. Even then, I would think I would hear a leak that bad, ya know? I can hear at least one of my turbos(if not both) spooling when it should be under boost, but I'm not getting anything. My wastegates may be stuck, I'm not sure at this point. I haven't had a chance to pull my downpipes to check the turbines to see if they are frozen yet, but as far as I can tell the turbos are trying to spool.
