I took my dog Zoey to Kisel Park yesterday to just get out and enjoy the good weather. Well she was playing with about 5 other dogs all running around, and one change direction on her and she rolled over and hurt her leg. I took her to the vet today and she has torn some ligaments in her knee and it is popping in and out of place. Doc said it won't heal on its on and she will have to have surgery. $600 for the surgery. She will have it next week ;(

Man that's terrible...glad it can be healed. Make sure to take good care of her while it heals and gets back to normal. I worry about that with the way my dog runs around too. Hope she gets better soon.

You scared me when you called and said you have bad news about Zoey! I thought like hit by a car or ran away. Glad she can be fixed though.

My dog has had over $6k in surgeries over the past year. Fortunately, he's my sister's financial responsibility; if he were mine, he'd be RIP right now.
Sorry for your misfortune, but be glad it's not worse :)

i work at a vet and it seems crazy to me how much money people spend on animals but.... for some people animals are on the same level as children to them. If they dont have kids then animals are basically their children so they will go to great lengths to maintain their health and when necessary for surgery they look at it as a responsibility just as you would with a child.

sorry to hear,we usually take the pups up there when we can.hopefully the surgery will go without a hutch.
