Hello ladies and gents, just got my account set up here today. The name's Jonnie Brobst, I was directed here from a link on 3ZC. I've been an active member of tt.net for many years, and 3zc in more recent years.
I currently drive a '91 slicktop Z32 NA. My previous Z was a '93 black slicktop twin turbo, I sold it to a guy named Jason who lives in/around Birmingham and Trussville. You'll know him if you see him, it's black with a JDM shaved bumper and sweet HIDs.
I'll add a few pics, the CRP is my current one, obviously. So far I'm enjoying the site; it's good to see locals active in the Z community. I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of you in 2 weeks at Z Nats.

I thought about it; this week I'll be finishing up prepping my 4 TT rear wheels/tires for use and I was thinking about racing, but I haven't decided yet. I didn't get signed up, and it's supposedly full already, and on top of that I'm not sure I can afford if anything were to go seriously awry with it on the track (i.e. an accident) right now.
We'll see what happens though, I think by the summer I'll be ready. You think KYB AGXs, Tein S-tech springs and ST adjustable sways would be a decent setup? That's what I'm currently running, but I thought about upgrading to the SPL like you have, since I know it's a tried and true setup for the track.

I've been thinking about the Tein S-techs also because to me the Eibachs just don't give the Z32 enough drop but I'm not certain yet what I'm going to run. If you go with the S-techs let me know how they work out for you.

I've never ridden on any z's with s-tech or kyb's so I don't know how they handle. If you plan to do alot of racing than I'd suggest getting spl, plus by the time you get the springs, kybs, new bushings ect... for a little more you could have the coilovers.

Like I said, I'm already running the KYB AGXs, Tein S-techs, and ST adjustable sways. I didn't pay nearly as much for this setup as I would have for the SPL; I paid just over $500 shipped for brand new KYBs and Teins off ebay, and $240 shipped for new ST adjustable sways off a 3ZC member.
I like the Teins better than the Eibachs, not just because of a lower drop, but also because the Eibach Pros are a progressive spring, and imo don't handle nearly as well as a standard rate spring. It might ride more smoothly, but I can adjust my ride with the KYBs anyway and it's incredibly smooth without a loss of too much handling if I adjust it properly. Plus, the Tein S-techs are cheaper than the Eibachs. Better handling + cheaper price = no-brainer.
