I've finally decided to by a DA Polisher and have narrowed it down (I think) to either the Meguiars G110v2 or the Porter Cable 7424xp - the flex is just too much more than either of these.

Basically, I'm posting this to see if anyone here has experience with each of these machines. A feature I like abut the G110, is the easy to replace brushes for the motor, but I don't know how hard that is on the PC, or if they even fail that often.

I've got a pneumatic powered rotary (old) and from back in the day, there were basically no choices for pads on those, so a little input on pads would be appreciated as well.

I have a Porter Cable and have always had good luck with it. Don't know anything about the Meguires unit though. I haven't tried many different brands of pads but I think Sonus and Lake Country rank up toward the top of the list.

+1 for Sonus and LC pads. I used to have a PC, but I upgraded to the Flex. I don't know anything about the Meguiar's, but I don't think you'll have any problems with the PC.

Don't really know too much about this subject myself, but best of luck. I'd talk to David (04LemansZ) or Brudi (rbruditt) on here.

You can't go wrong with either machine as long as it accepts a good backing pad that fits a lot of pads.

Is there an RPM difference between the two? Does the Flex have a higher RPM, David?
