Yuo cAn0t has tEm!!!!! Sorry, G35driver has been on a lolcat kick this past week. When I get my next wheels, these things are getting a set of R compounds. :driving:
And yes, that's down in your area. Two of my best friends do that autox religiously. Russ in the black 350Z on Volks, and Rodney in the white S2K on volks. AKA, the Brown Guy and Token. :D

I might come out there. I'm always torn between the busy Bham one on asphalt, or the not so busy Dothan one on super traction concrete. haha
This weekend though, my poor, poor Pilot Sports are worn the 'eff out. After the "donut fest" at the last autox around the 180 cone on the back stretch, I believe I should sit this one out until I decide between new wheels, or just a new set of tires.
So I might just come out and watch, and take some pics.

that would be cool too. you can catch some rides too if you want. plus we always go out to eat afterwards at the cool sports bar right near the track for food, drinks and a lil trash talking. lol
what tires are you thinking about getting?

I damn sure am not getting Pilot Sports again. I used to work at a mechanics shop in college... I had my old boss look them up. THEIR COST on them were $248 A PIECE for the back tires. BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
It really depends on if I get some wheels first. If I get wheels, I'll get a harder compound that will last a little longer on the new ones, then stick some R's on the stock wheels. Whatever I find that strikes my fancy at the time.

I don't know your skill level but have you been auto X'ing long ?? If not then I wouldn't get R's. It's best to learn to get the most out of a street tire before you go to an R. If you don't do this then you might not ever get your bestout of the R's.
I would go with some Falken Azenis RT615, they are a great street/AutoX tire. I run them on my BMW (what I autoX) and I loved the from the start.

i second that post. i've always been told its best to do your learning on street tires which are much cheaper mind you and then go to stickies. that way you don't learn any bad habbits going straight to R's.

Tires, I go through 4 R-comp sets a year but I like the Avon M550s for a street tire. It's very reasonable in price and it is an excellent rain tire. Most anything off the rack works in the dry.

Um... I've been doing all kinds of racing since '98. From drag, to road racing, to Autox. The G is not my first "sports car." And it's actually not my main race car.
I think I'll be ok. :)
Thanks for the concern though!
