this past weekend i detailed my grandfathers '03 corvette. it was in pretty good condition until my uncle decided to quickly wash it and did not know what he was doing  it was up to me to restore the vette back to top condition. I had a little bit of trouble deciding which pad/polish combo to use but once i did it worked out quite well. i didnt have any before picks because i forgot my camera the day of, but i can tell you that there were some swirl marks and a couple RIDS ( randomly isolated deep scratches). this particular car was a pain to detail due to the time i had to invest to correct the paint. the paint on corvettes is exceptionally finicky. super hard paint and super sensitive clear coat.

wash:
foam gun spray down using meguiars car wash
2 bucket method wash
no clay needed on this one
windows were treated with stoners invisible glass
wheels were treated with meguiars all wheel cleaner and agitated with a painter's brush

Polishing:
the tough paint on this car forced me to go a more aggressive route

Menzerna Power Gloss via purple LC wool pad, Flex speed 6
Menzerna Intensive Polish via orange LC foam pad, Flex speed 6
Menzerna Super finish via white LC foam pad, speed 3

LSP:
I chose to use Meguiars #23 sealant to step up the gloss to the next level
I then topped the Meguiars with my hand made Zymol wax (Titanium)

again, sorry for not having any befores
Hope you enjoy the results:D

stoners is the shizzle... check the reflection in the glass

damn dude that's beautiful. what camera is that? that vette is almost the same as my dad's, but dad's is 2 years older and bright red with polished wheels. maybe you need to drive up to OBX and give him a detail haha.

Ouch....very harsh man, very harsh. Its not like Bham is the next block over. I will have to plan an over night trip to make something like this happen.

Nice job Brudi....how many hours did you put in?

The attention to detail really shows in the barrels of the wheels. Great reflection and pop on the metalic red too.
