you can check out the local motorcycle shops for them. just make sure they are DOT and at least SNELL 2000 or higher rated.

Ok, so I can use a Motorcycle Helmet just as long as it is DOT approved?

For autocross you can go to Icon in Trussville, that's where I got mine. If you get into more advanced racing then an SA helmet is required. Any new helmet should have the right snell and dot ratings.

G-Force has an online outlet too where they sell their older helmets. I believe the helmets are new, just older specs like M or SA 2000.

i just ordered from the gforce outlet and got a brand new sa2005 rating helmet for 46% off. it wassupposedly scrated but i inspected and didn't see a scratch, and then proceded to put some of my own scratches on it this weekend
