hey man, i don't know how to get ahold of him, but if you're needing a ztube, andrea had one a few months ago that she was trying to get with you about...she may still have it if you need one.....good luck with everything....

well, if I don't hear back by the end of next week, I guess I'll have to file a complaint with Birmingham PD or something. Don't want to do it, but I don't like putting up with this kind of shit either. Luckily I did get his address out of him beforehand, :-)

then why don't you just go over there and ask him about it instead of going to the cops...i'm sure it's just a misunderstanding....

but don't go by yourself, take a member or two from the forum as a witness/witnesses

oh dang, you are in mobile AL?

If you are down there, LMK, I can go with another member just to inquire...

well, I never did hear back from Allen at any point, but I did get my Z-tube last week and installed it Fri night. Thanks to Allen for keeping up his end of the deal, but damn dude, a little simple response would have been nice to at least know things aren't turning shady.

Be sure to check where the metal ring clamps are pointing. I'm not sure about the sedan, but if installed in the position that they sit in the Z, they have a tendency to possibly scrape THROUGH your A/C line!.. $60 line (for the coupe) but something like $600 labor at the dealer. I made that mistake 3 years ago and thought I caught it in time and made the adjustment 2 weeks after install.... This year, the line leaked while installing something else and I had to replace it myself. Check it out NOW to be sure, quit looking at this screen, get moving!

future reference... aluminum AC lines can be welded by scruffy redneck guys with a decent amount of welding experience in the back of their shops for about $20... without taking it off the car. :D

Not really that hard if you have the right equipment.

Nicole ran over something with her old Focus about 4 years ago (before she got her G sedan) and put a hole in the AC line. Then it ended up cracking almost halfway around when we pulled it off (thanks to an idiot co-worker at the shop.)

It's been welded for almost 4 years and hasn't dropped an ounce of freon. Just gotta find the right redneck.

I took it to a place to consider welding, but they said it was too close to the painted part of the car... which it was... the paint would have been damaged in the engine compartment
