Yay! We are on the new server now :pimp:

I can already tell it is going to be MUCH faster than the old server just by the FTP uploads to transfer things over.

Sorry about the downtime and thanks to those who have gone Premier thus far! I'm sure everyone will appreciate your support when we don't have to deal with this crashing BS anymore.

So is this a new server for the same group that had alabamagz.com? I worked with that group on an event for Fast and Furious 3 back in 2006:
http://www.huntsvillecarscene.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=905&day=2006-6-16&c=1

What exactly happened to the old server or site? Just curious.

The old site went away one day and this one replaced it. Managed by two different people.

I hate that I didn't make it out to that F&F meet back in the day.

The FNF event was second to none. Around a thousand people hovered around the cars after the first showing.

It needs php and mysql for simple mysql queries. I'm hoping to have around 100 users if everything goes right.

I'm hoping to have around 100 users if everything goes right. If that's 100 simultaneous and if each user will require an individual session to the db, that might be pretty intensive. I use asmallorange.com for Huntsville Car Scene. I moved the site here after the last host damaged one of my db's and wanted me to upgrade to dedicated hosting instead of fixing the problem.

I've been satisfied with their support. It's timely.

We use HostGator and haven't had a problem. Awesome customer service too.
