okay so what i was lookin at is doing a double din with nav and all that fun stuff with the g35 im getting. what i was wanting to know is whether or not they make an oem jdm nissan double din that matches the black interior/stainless bezel with the AC controller that ALSO has the dual climate button?!?! any help with that would make things a little easier. i dont want to do the metra kit bc it looks cheesey in my mind. thanks for the help

Sounds like a question for Adrian, maybe he'll chime in.

I don't know about the 05's, but with the 03s and 04s you can't buy a JDM with the dual climate control button on there. However, you can buy a JDM A/C controller and solder 2 wires together and install the button, making it dual climate....but this is only if your car has dual climate prior to going double din.

And yes, I agree, anything other than JDM (metra, etc.) just looks cheap and cheesy.

:icon01: That cheesy statement cracked me up for some reason after seeing you use a bag and a half of cheese making that Buffalo Chicken Dip last night.

ive been looking into this sincei got my G

josh is right about the soldering

but there were some JDM double dins that poped up for a few days
Riverside Infiniti had them but they sold out in like 2 days and they said tht more than likely they would never be able to get anymore in

but like alot of ppl say on driver is it really even worth worrying about? my g sedan didnt have dual... but how many times do you really even use the dual? sure its cool to say i have "dual" climate control but it really doesnt even work that great

the only good thing about the Metra kit is that the fitment is perfect around the HU unlike the JDM is has a noticable gap

maybe paul will no something about this also i think he has the JDM kit

kit

That really depends what kind of HU that you decide to go with. I think some of the eclipse units fit perfectly. I know the D3 has a little gap, but you can always manufacture a bezel that will fit right in the gap...not really hard......and the other good thing about the Metra is that it's much cheaper than JDM, but then again, you get what you pay for (i.e. play-doh looking buttons)

:+1: on the play-doh

yeah the g35 that im going to go get here shortly has the dual climate. and i was just concerned if a non dual climate A/C controller would work properly with it as far as wiring and functionality. but anywho, i guess we'll see. i'll have to read up about the soldering if i decide i wanna do that. thanks for all the input guys

it will work fine as single climate control
it will still display both temps but they will both be underlined and only adjust both temps

research it on G35driver ull find alot more information
