Thoughts on where and how much window tint

I am looking to get my windows tinted and was wondering if anyone could suggest a place in the Alabaster....Pelham...Hoover area. Also...I am trying to decided how dark. I don't want to go too dark...but need it dark enough to be worth putting on. Suggestions and pics? Thanks!

Artistic in Hoover did the windows on our G35 and I35. Lifetime warranty if you get legal percentage. And the tint is computer cut instead of them putting the tint on your glass and then trimming. It is off Rocky Ridge road.

I don't think anybody wanting tint would be happy with just 35%.

Thanks guys! This will get me started. I didn't think to ask....but, how much should I expect to pay? I had tint put on my Z I had .....but that was a hundred years ago. LOL

A good shop will be $175-200 probably. Remember, you won't want to roll down the windows at all for 3 days and leave it in the sun if possible. And not sure if the G has the same feature as the Z where the windows go down when you open the door but if so you need to notify the installer.

i think you can pull a fuse to stop this function. i will also say Hi-Fi. just had my driver side window done and it looks great. im working on getting a discount for the BamaGZ members. If you plan on going out give me a heads up and ill let them know you are coming. may save a dollar or two and this goes for anybody else that needs tint.

I've had 20 and 10% before, it was nice for those hot days, but it can get old. Go 35% all around including the windshield, it may be illegal but very few cops ever check the front glass. With 35%, all those girls will still be able to see you driving your G too, :D

Hi-fi audio in T-vegas did mine 20% all the way around 30 front windshield.
Would also recommend Sounds great in t-vegas lifetime warranty from both companys.

I would only goto companys that use llumar and/or johnsons film.

I'll follow him wherever he is. Never had a single issue out of any one of his tint jobs.

F1 is out of business, it used to be Kevin Ledlow that did all the tint there, he also worked out in Trussville after F1 shut down. He's extremely good, but I've seen a couple of cars he's done bubble up around the "dots" on the rear windows. My Wife's G, and Ryan's G are doing the same thing.

If I had to stick in B'ham though, I'd still go back to Kevin. Just tell him to give the dotted section a little more love than usual.

Jason works Saturday through about lunch. it's best to call ahead and get a appt. I mean, it'll cost you gas there and back, and it's about 3 hours round trip. So I wouldn't expect you to do it just off the recommendation of some random dude from the internet. but... lol if you do go, tell him I said hey and he'll see my G soon.
