Well, Today I take her in to the body shop. She is getting resprayed on her front bumper for paint that was effed by a previous painter, And whenever she gets out, it will be time to take her to nissan for a new transmission. Enterprise Rent a car burnouts ;)

I tried to take mine in to get a new transmission and got denied. Mine isn't really that messed up though, just grinds second gear at redline. Good luck with the dealership.
Have it back by the end of March?

Yea kinda sorta......the Nissan tranny is not as good as some of the others.....even when working properly sometimes you will have some grind. I changed out my fluid to MOTUL synthetic and it made a HUGE difference in smoothness of shifts. You kinda have to baby the tranny.

That and some people put GL5 tranny fluid in by mistake, there is a additive in the GL5 that will errode the brass pieces in the Nissan Tranny. Make sure you always use GL4

I got mine replaced under warranty on the SB Z. Jim Burke Nissan did it w/o me even asking because that was way back before I knew anything about Z forums or tranny problems.
It was there getting new tires put on and they told me they needed to replace the tranny.

brass pieces
Blocking rings= works like A clutch plate. Slows down the tranny mainshaft enough to slide syncro with out grinding.
